Mom
went away this past weekend, leaving just the three of us to venture
out on our own. You realize how tough it is if you're a single
parent, I tip my hat to them because for the life of me, I don't know
how they do it. We have a pretty good routine on our end, but even
still, when one of is away, life becomes a lot harder. The work load
just increases and the things you took for granted are suddenly your
responsibility. It's a good reminder of how parenting really is a
team sport.
We
missed mom but managed to survive because we had a pretty busy
weekend, with A going to video camp, lots of hockey, and science day
in the big city. Dinner time was rather somber because mom tends to
lead the discussion, and without her we just of sat there and quietly
ate. It was sort of lonely.
She
came back last night and it was great to have her. No we're back to
being a team, just the way we like it.
Until
the next time, thanks for reading, and thanks to lilruby for the pic.
