The other day CB called and wanted to hang, and it worked
out beautifully for all the parents involved. It’s nice because they live so
close, they can ride their bikes over and vice versa. The last time CB came
over she rode by herself, under the condition that she call her mom the moment
she arrived. I thought that was a nice approach, so we decided to employ it
ourselves.
The plan was for me to follow them on their bikes about
halfway, and then let them loose for the last quarter mile. They had a blast,
and spent several hours over there. I asked KB if they were okay and he said it
worked out perfectly because he could get a bunch of work done, as could R and
I. They even had lunch over there. It’s nice for the kids to be back in touch
with CB, she’s a nice kid, and they have a lot of fun. Plus it gives A&N
more social options, which is important.
